Summary/Abstract: In order to provide the evidence on the impact of service-learning and citizenship education, appropriate assessment and evaluation systems that would suit well to innovative teaching and learning practices and assure quality and rigor should be established. Based on national and international resources, including scientific publications, research reports and policy documents, the article addresses the assessment of the impact of service-learning and citizenship education programs on students, faculty, university and community.
