Summary/Abstract: This paper tries to emphasize some observations regarding Romanian – South Slavic interferences in anthroponomy. Some of the most frequent names in Romanian anthroponomical system are of Slavic origin, some having Slavic suffixes (-in, -ici, -ov, -ovici, -ev, -evici, etc.) The interferences discussed are at the phonetic, morphological and structural levels. As an example for the Romanian, Bulgarian and Serbian forms of name, we suggest Ion /Ivan / Iovan.
