Summary/Abstract: The paper lays out the main trends of organizational commitment research, introduces competing definitions and conceptualizations as well as reviews the drivers affecting the development of organizational commitment. Also there has been made an attempt to research the impact of the commitment factors proposed by different authors. As a result of the research, there has been defined: 1) the main factors of the organizational commitment; 2) influence of the factors of the organizational commitment on the commitment level. The main aims of the paper were: to single out specific factors of organizational commitment, to define its problematic points and to propose solutions for the increase of employees’ commitment in Lithuanian companies.
