Summary/Abstract: The loss of deep convictions, common in European modernity, as well as the collapse of basic ideologies opened the way to pluralism. That is why the man has never been so confused in defining himself. Viewed from this perspective, some post-Soviet intellectuals trained in atheistic schools, refuse to foresee a viable society "impregnated" with religious elements. Thus the problems of Russian society do not represent a prerogative of religion and the scientific approach would be the guarantee for the development of a free society. Notice that the resuscitation plan of post-Soviet society, plan belonging to materialistic atheism changed the shape, but not the essence; elitism advanced by them leads to nihilism. This utopia has already been described in the "Republic" of Plato where the philosopher asserts the incompatibility between scientific and democratic governance. Nowadays Russian people are seduced by materialistic atheism disguised under the banner of democracy. The experience of European social democracy demonstrates that social action is possible without use of force. They could use only the religious energies accumulated over the centuries by Russians.
