Summary/Abstract: In a world where the holiness ideal is a priority for a decreasing number of Christians we want an analysis of the holiness models proposed by the Church. The analysis of the Orthodox Christian calendar and the synaxars of October, November and December, resulted in a rate of almost four times less women saints than men saints, the proposed model is a virgin martyr willing to suffer death. For Christians, there emerges the model of an old monk, martyr or pious one. The access to the information in the religious field requires the supplementation of these models with some which are closer to the historical and social conditions in which Christians of different ages and social life options direct their lives towards God. Also, the Orthodox Christian curriculum requires an improvement with new models of saints having similar age to the young, including married saints.
