Summary/Abstract: Structural changes in agriculture are a complex process which is affected by many external and internal factors connected with farming. Their sources are the changes in resource allocation i.e. labor, land and capital. One of the factors influencing structural changes is the agricultural policy. It is a form of planned intervention of the state institutions in the economic system, and it stems from the belief about the market imperfections. CAP is an example of action by which with the help of public funds changes in the agri-food sector and rural areas are stimulated. The paper presents the structural conversion and changes in the relationship between the factors of production which occurred in agricultural holdings in Poland in the years 2002-2012 and the role agricultural policy played in this process.
