Summary/Abstract: In this analysis of the neoconservatism moment that defines nowadays politics of United States, the author shows that the new doctrine of multilateralism try to maximize through minimizing confines of its own liberty of action. There is nothing wrong with this doctrine, as long as unipolarity and its powers are engaged in sustaining global ends, not just selfish American interests. Social engineering for enforcing democracy could be a beneficent expression of this doctrine. The conclusion shows that a new institutional architecture, able to establish an international control system over the irresponsible political actors, is necessary, which makes the neoconservative doctrine the new hope for an international constitutional order.
