Summary/Abstract: In Poland 30% of healthcare expenditures are directly covered by households. This high fraction has a negative impact on households’ socioeconomic status. Analysing current and future individual expenditures on healthcare becomes crucial and microsimulation may be useful for forecasting health economic variables. The purpose for this research is to apply a microsimulation experiment to analyse direct healthcare expenditures of households in Poland in years 2009-2018. Obtained results are used to perform a spatial and dynamic analysis of ambulatory and pharmaceutical expenditures.
