Summary/Abstract: Romanian literature in Voivodina, Serbia, conceived more than half century ago, is a relatively young literature, but during these years, from first written texts on these territories until the following days, it has marked true artistic and aesthetic development aimed towards quest of national identity. Since 7th decade of last century, Yugoslavian literature writers have been using more and more ideas of modernism and postmodernism in their works. This has also been the case with Romanian modernistic, surrealistic and vanguard poetry writes, as well as with one of the most popular writers, poets and publicists in Voivodina, Petru Cardu. His shock –provoking poetry, without any versification norm, slowly slides to prose. Art itself is degraded, becoming commercialized and without any true values. Everything is just one recipe, a mixture of totally ruined conventions and ideas. If we analyze complete literary works of Petru Cardu we will see that he gives us his imaginary torn universe, absurd humor, and associative automatism, while breaking down with traditional logic discursive.
