Summary/Abstract: In Central and Eastern European countries the concept of Corporate Social Responsibility is relatively new. For years the economic conditions did not encourage linking business and social issues − neither among consumers nor in business. The paper attempts to show the approach of 100 largest companies in Central and Eastern Europe to CSR, depending, among others, on the origin of the organization, its size and industry.
