Summary/Abstract: The article analyses the peculiarities of the Lithuanian philosophy. It is argued that the philosopheme of fidelity to reality best describes the identity of the Lithuanian philosophy. It is also maintained that the peculiarity of the philosophy of Lithuania as a country with delayed modernization was determined by the pre-modern and archaic world experience. Contemporary Lithuanian philosophy is dominated by the philosophical paradigms of analytic, phenomenological and postmodern philosophies that affect each other. They all inherently recognize the existing reality beyond the statements of philosophical thinking, giving to reality an ontological status.
