Summary/Abstract: The article analyzes the texts of lithuanian philosop¬ers published during the last Soviet decade and the two latest decades of independence. It is argued that Lithuanian philosophy is characterized by original¬ity which is best described by the philosopheme of fidelity to the presence. It is argued that the origi¬nality of lithuanian philosophy was determined by pre-modern world experience, which has been oth¬erwise identified as a peasantry way to experience the world. the contemporary Lithuanian philosophy is dominated and interacted by the paradigms of analytic philosophy, phenomenological philosophy, and postmodern philosophy. they all can be charac¬terized by the recognition of the reality beyond the propositions contemplated by philosophical reason, and granting it the ontological status. Keywords: presence, pre-modern experience, reality, phylotopy, topocracy.
