LEXIC IN SKIROI’S WORK – COMPARISONS IN SEVERAL GEGH SPEECH COMMUNITIES

Summary/Abstract: In this analysis of Skiroi’s language, an Arbëresh poet, we have made an attempt to highlight the main strata of his vocabulary, comparing it with some Gegh speeches. According to our opinion a hand of this lexis undoubtedly should be included in future Dictionary of Albanian language, since it would enrich it significantly with the words of Albanian language trunk. We can find there grammatical forms which represent an interest for other linguistic researching, also. Some word forms come out as very ancient which lead an etymologist to the first meaning of the word, to its root.
