Summary/Abstract: This research paper gives in general lines a more accurate review of linguistic Balkan in relation to “autochthony” of languages spoken in present time and that were spoken aforetime in these spaces, about their complex history which should be understood as it is correctly and not with biases and distortions. In present time Balkan Peninsula is widespread evil that every nation is claimed to be peculiar and the most ancient in the region. This obsession was rightfully called by scholars a thirst for autochthony. Our paper brings up proofs on how is presented this phenomenon among Balkan nations, especially south Slavs (Serbians, Croats, Slovenians, Bosnians, Macedonians), Aromanians, Greeks and Albanians. Balkan Peninsula has very problematic history. Ten nations of Balkans have ten truths in the pocket regarding “their ancient autochthony” in this territory, pretending that being autochthonous makes you by itself a legitimate heir of present time territory possessed by respective nations, although this may not be so.
