Summary/Abstract: The essay is looking for the inspiration of the series of the monographic plays of the last decade, which are devoted to the personalities, especially of the popular culture (Adina Mandlová, Vlasta Burian, E. F. Burian, L. N. Teremin). Iit also explores the nature of the model of the theme of the extraordinary individual counter to the ordinary society. Discoursing on the inability of the heroes to meet expectations, it states that all the plays attempted to surmount the atractivity of their heroes, not only by introducing the socially resonant themes and problems.
