Teachers’ Protective Factors of Resilience Scale (TPFRS) – Psychometric Properties of the Instrument in the Polish Context

Summary/Abstract: The aim of this study was to adapt the Teachers’ Protective Factors of Resilience Scale developed by A. Danilidou and M. Platsidou to the Polish context and to assess its psychometric properties. The scale measures personal and environmental protective factors that promote teachers’ resilience. A total of 628 teachers participated in the study, and the adaptation process followed established standards for translation and validation of psychological instruments. EFA and CFA analyses confirmed the six-factor structure of the TPFRS-PL, as well as its high reliability and theoretical validity, including convergent and discriminant validity. The most important protective factors for teachers in Poland are Behavioral Adequacy and Values and Beliefs. The TPFRS-PL can be considered a reliable instrument for assessing teachers’ resilience in the Polish educational context. Celem badania była adaptacja Teachers’ Protective Factors of Resilience Scale autorstwa A. Danilidou i M. Platsidou do warunków polskich oraz ocena jej właściwości psychometrycznych. Skala mierzy osobiste i środowiskowe czynniki ochronne rezyliencji nauczycieli. W badaniu wzięło udział 628 nauczycieli, a proces adaptacji przeprowadzono zgodnie ze standardami tłumaczenia i walidacji narzędzi. Analizy EFA i CFA potwierdziły sześcioczynnikową strukturę TPFRS-PL, wysoką rzetelność większości podskal oraz trafność teoretyczną, w tym trafność zbieżną i rozbieżną. Najważniejsze czynniki ochronne dla nauczycieli w Polsce to Adekwatność behawioralna i Wartości i przekonania. Ostatecznie TPFRS-PL stanowi wiarygodne narzędzie do badania rezyliencji nauczycieli w polskim kontekście edukacyjnym.
