Summary/Abstract: Transport and mobility are important for ensuring access to the labour market, healthcare, culture and par‑ ticipation in social life. Investment in transport infrastructure is among the undertakings with a high GDP multiplier, supporting economic growth and regional development. In recent decades, the pace of expan‑ sion of the transport network has increased, but at the same time many connections have been discontin‑ ued, limiting access to collective public transport for millions of Poles. This has resulted, among other things, in a decline in economic productivity, a reduction in quality of life and a weakening of interregional cohesion.
