Summary/Abstract: This article presents the importance of values in family firms. The discussionon values in the axiological and economic perspectives is provided in this article. There is no consensus on the classification of values and in many case sthey are identified as goods. As a consequence, the article proposes to analyze prevailing values in family firms. In particular, two kind of values may be selected: human and the absolute. The latter one may appear in critical circumstancesas in mountaineering. This was the reason to interview Małgorzata Pierz-Pękalą and Daniel Mizera who as the first mother and son reached the top of Everest. In addition, they run a family business that allows them to satisfy this passion.
