Summary/Abstract: Abstract: The issue of environmental protection is inextricably linked to the concept of public security, as environmental degradation generates direct risks to public health, economic stability, and social order. In this context, collective actions emerge as a significant legal instrument, providing communities and organizations with the means to access justice and to sanction polluting behaviors. This article examines the role of collective actions in environmental litigation, their relevance for strengthening public security, and the challenges they pose in terms of the normative framework and case law.
