Summary/Abstract: The present study intends to highlight the life, work and material culture of Emil Isac, a man of culture from Cluj, considered the first modern poet of Transylvania. Since 2001, the "Octavian Goga" County Library of Cluj holds the artefacts that once belonged to the poet, and which, between 1955 and 2001, were organized as part of the "Emil Isac" Memorial Museum, in the two rooms of the house where he lived most of of his life. This article records a case study, a model of good practice, to valorize Emil Isac's personal collection through a cultural project co-financed by the National Cultural Fund Administration. The main objectives in this approach were: the development of a virtual museum, the creation of a database specific for museums, the transformation of the experience of visiting the "Emil Isac" exhibition space within the Special Collections, Memory and Local Knowledge Department, as well as museum education workshops based on the personality of Isac.
