Summary/Abstract: Corporate social responsibility is one of the determinants of modern business. Although there were previously extensive discussions about whether a company has or does not have social responsibility, and understanding the issue of shifting the costs of these activities to the end consumer, today it is one of the characteristics of business that is accepted as such (sine qua non) - especially in large companies. With the development of information and communication technologies, movements that call for a certain responsibility (such as the "Woke" movement), consumerism, and the like, companies are becoming a kind of corporate citizens who have certain rights, but also obligations. At the same time, corporate social responsibility, according to the theory of interest groups, implies the creation, development, innovation, and maintenance of longterm relationships with all relevant interest groups, with an emphasis on those that are most important for certain activities. When it comes to corporate social responsibility, CSOs appear as expected interest groups because they operate within the social sphere, that is, they best understand the problems and needs of a society. Two possible relationships with CSOs have been identified - confrontational and collaborative (cooperation). Through cooperation with CSOs, companies strive to truly understand the need for social responsibility and, accordingly, optimally use scarce resources to maximize the achievement of social and economic goals. In order to achieve the achievement of the latter goals, which are expressed in the form of business performance, it is necessary to build strategic partnerships between companies and CSOs. The paper explores the phenomenon of strategic partnerships between companies and CSOs in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Based on a sample of 100 large Bosnian and Herzegovinian companies, the basic characteristics of these partnerships are listed.
