Summary/Abstract: The present paper sets to explore the complexities of the translation process when it comes to the domain of journalism, while it focuses on the creativity in translation and the anglicization of the target language. Translation is regarded as a tool of utmost importance, since it is with its help that the audiences are able to engage with global content, thus coming to be viewed as a facilitator, a bridge between linguistic and cultural gaps. Moreover, when it is applied in the domain of journalism, it becomes a tool in shaping the public’s opinion and cultural perception since they are enabled to have contact with information from other languages and civilizations. The study emphasizes the importance of imaginative tools and resources, namely imagination, phantasia and fantasy, which allow the translator to ensure the cultural relevance and the artistic integrity. At the same time, the focus is to make use of comparative analysis and emphasize how the translation process is affected by the need to keep a balance between fidelity to the source text and the characteristic features of journalistic texts which aims to engage the audience.
