Summary/Abstract: Using grounded theory, this research examines how eight Czech female journalists navigate the dual pressures of career advancement and family life. The study addresses the systemic lack of support for professional women in Czech society, particularly within the male-dominated journalistic field. Findings reveal that these journalists actively challenge both the societal undervaluation of caregiving and the systemic barriers impeding their professional reintegration after maternity leave. Through their coping strategies, they resist binary perceptions of work-life balance, asserting their agency in both domestic and professional spheres.
