Summary/Abstract: This article examines the evolution of authorship models in Slovak investigative journalism by analysing professionally recognised journalistic work from 2004 to 2024. Drawing on scholarship on the shift from individualised investigative reporting toward collaborative, institutionalised, and networked production, the study explores how these trends have developed in a post-communist EU member state in the context of digital transformation and the growing influence of online media environments. The analysis is based on 128 shortlisted and award-winning investigative entries from Novinárska cena, Slovakia’s leading journalism awards. Using the number of credited authors as the central analytical variable, we compare authorship patterns over time and across media types. The findings show that individual authorship remains dominant, confirming the enduring symbolic power of the named investigative reporter. At the same time, collaborative authorship gradually increases, particularly in print and digital media.
