Summary/Abstract: The study reviews the history of the publication of Ancient Greek and Latin inscriptions from the territory of modern Bulgaria and presents the factors that led to the creation of the Tituli Project: A Digital Edition of the Latin Inscriptions from Bulgaria. The paper explains the technical methodology used in the creation of the database and the standards underlying the production of the XML files. Since the publication of inscriptions in this database is based on autopsy by an epigraphist on site, the paper also outlines the methodology used by the team during in situ documentation. In the final section, the study focuses on the preparation of the publications, with particular attention to the writing of the commentaries accompanying the documents.
