Summary/Abstract: The aim of this article is to analyze the effectiveness of resilience-strengthening programs among children and adolescents based on a systematic literature review and meta-analyses of experimental studies. Contemporary youth face numerous emotional, mental, and social challenges, exacerbated by external factors such as the COVID-19 pandemic and geopolitical changes. The research problem focuses on identifying which educational interventions effectively build resilience in young people and how they impact their mental health and ability to cope with difficulties. The study focuses on three main programs: Zippy’s Friends, mindfulness training, and the Penn Resilience Program. The obtained results indicate that although these programs bring positive effects, their effectiveness varies depending on variables such as emotional regulation, reduction of hyperactivity and aggressive behaviors, and the mental well-being of participants. Moreover, the inconsistency of results in some studies suggests the need for further analyzes regarding the conditions under which these interventions are implemented. The findings highlight the importance of implementing resilience-strengthening programs in the educational context as part of social prevention efforts. The necessity of further research on their long-term effectiveness and the adaptation of interventions to the specific needs of students is also emphasized. The article provides valuable insights for pedagogical practice, especially in the area of promoting mental health and building psychosocial skills among children and adolescents.
