Summary/Abstract: In this article, the author refers to the analyses of empirical material collected and analysed in accordance with the assumptions of the narrative interview method of F. Schütze. The author refers to those fragments of acquired narratives, in which women discuss the issue of their relationship with their father, especially his influence on decisions regarding choices on the educational path. The author reconstructs the circumstances of educational choices and looks at the role of respondents’ fathers in this process.
