Summary/Abstract: The paper presents the Symptoms-Competencies-Traits Model that can be used in inclusive education to develop a comprehensive personality assessment. We discuss the requirements placed before personality assessment by inclusive education and then show how the comprehensive Symptoms-Competencies-Traits Model meets these requirements. The successive parts of the model’s name refer to subsequent layers of personality distinguished as crucial in educational psychology and inclusive education. They include (1) symptoms of mental health (personal and social well-being) or problems (externalization, internalization, and psychasthenia); (2) personality competencies that are shaped in the process of education and lead to well-being, and (3) temperamental traits that facilitate or hinder the acquisition of these competencies. The Symptoms-Competencies-Traits Model is based on the Circumplex of Personality Metatraits.
