Summary/Abstract: Preschool age (3-6 years) represents a period of profound psychological transformations, in which emotional intelligence acts as a central pillar for social adaptation, future school success, and the child's mental health.Developing emotional intelligence during early childhood is an essential predictor for the psycho-social balance of the future adult. It is structured on four major dimensions: Self-awareness - Identifying and correctly labeling basic emotions (joy, sadness, anger, fear); Emotional self-regulation- The ability to tolerate frustration and manage impulsive reactions during moments of stress or disappointment; Empathy - Understanding that other people have different feelings and perspectives, which facilitates cooperation; Social skills- Forming harmonious relationships with peers and integrating easily into the school community.Early investment in emotional education through games and therapeutic stories prevents behavioral difficulties and anxiety. A preschooler with a well-developed EQ will manifest increased resilience and will assimilate academic knowledge much easier upon entering school
