Summary/Abstract: The article describes the evolution of patristic thought regarding the prayer of praise (doxology) as presented by fourteen Greek Fathers of the Church, from Ignatius of Antioch (†107) to John of Damascus (†749). The key conclusion is the consistent teaching on the Trinitarian character of doxology, in which the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit remain in a mutual relationship of glory. The analysis reveals the continuity and richness of the patristic interpretation, the core of which is the mutual glorification of the Persons of the Holy Trinity, as well as the Christocentric and pneumatological nature of Christian prayer, which finds its fullest realization in the Eucharist.
