Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article is to provide a comparative and descriptive overview of the principles – procedures and uncodified practices – for organising temporary exhibitions (displayed for a limited period in a designated space) in selected European parliaments. The introduction outlines the methodology adopted in the article. The article then examines the subject matter and the number of temporary exhibitions, as well as the regulations governing their organisation. It discusses eligible applicants and the procedure for obtaining permission to organise an exhibition. The responsibilities of hosts and organisers, exhibition formats and locations, accompanying events, presentation schedules, and the benefits of maintaining detailed exhibition calendars are also considered. The article concludes by recommending a reduction in the number of exhibitions and a closer alignment of their themes with parliamentary activities.
