Summary/Abstract: This article analyzes the political evolution of Viktor Orbán’s regime and the construction of the “illiberal state” in Hungary after 2010. Starting from the ideological turn marked by the 2014 Băile Tușnad speech, the study examines the erosion of liberal-democratic institutions, the concentration of executive power, media capture, and the development of oligarchic networks connected to the state. It also evaluates the geopolitical implications of Orbánism for the European Union, NATO, and the security architecture of Eastern Europe.
