Darkness and Light. The Russian Operation Behind the Most Severe Threat to Romanian Democracy

Summary/Abstract: The cancellation of the presidential elections in Romania after the first round had already taken place, the parliamentary elections and the diaspora voting for the second round had already begun represents a perfect moment for an analysis of the state of the democratic system, the serious threats to it, as well as the possible antibodies that the social body has developed. I conducted an analytical investigation based on a status of participant /observer of Romanian political life, a reflective effort on a crucial moment both for the local democracy and for the direction that Romania should / could head. The research contains a comparative case study, but also a normative part, assumed and explicitly presented in the form of solutions for strengthening the democratic ethos in Romania.
