Summary/Abstract: This study examines the determinologisation of the Romanian philosophical lexicon from a dual perspective: both as a process through which terms migrate from specialised discourse into general language, and as the outcome of this process. Starting from the premise that philosophical terms are inherently “mobile” entities that traverse the boundaries between specialised language and common usage, the study aims to identify the semantic and pragmatic changes that occur during this transition. The corpus under analysis consists of terms drawn from specialised texts (articles published in Revista de filosofie), intermediary texts (cultural essays and popularising articles), and general-language sources (dictionaries and the contemporary press). A comparative analysis of selected terms (such as absolute, absurd, actual, truth, appearance, category, cause, concrete, destiny, happiness, form, chaos, individual, intuition, limit, morality, purpose, sensation, and substance) reveals a twofold dynamic: on the one hand, a loss of conceptual precision and a detachment from the original theoretical framework; on the other hand, a process of resemantisation through semantic extension, metaphorisation, or axiological valorisation. In conclusion, determinologisation in the philosophical domain proves to be a multidimensional and non-linear process, involving the reconceptualisation of meaning according to discursive perspective and communicative purpose.
