Summary/Abstract: In the historical process, people have a life cycle from rural areas to cities. Sustainability refers to the ability to meet needs without jeopardizing the capacity of future generations to meet their own needs. Ecological footprint and global climate change awareness are important for urban sustainability. Urban areas have a large ecological footprint due to dense population and industrialization and are important in the framework of living in harmony with nature. Climate change awareness, on the other hand, refers to people's awareness of the negative effects of climate change and the measures that can be taken against it. This situation reveals the basis of urban sustainability with two concepts. Urban sustainability has been put forward with environmental and economic dimensions. In the study, ecological footprint awareness and global climate change awareness emerged at a high level and a moderate correlation was found between these two awareness. In the context of urban sustainability, the high level of awareness of individuals in the research is valuable for the sustainability and future of cities. Today, when urban sustainability has reached an important point, urban management and urban policies are important along with the awareness of individuals. In this context, an urban area that meets the requirements also strengthens sustainability. It is accepted that urban sustainability will become healthy with the awareness of individuals towards ecology and climate, and this will evolve into a structure that is possible with the behavior of individuals.
