Summary/Abstract: This study aims to systematically review graduate theses on leadership capacity conducted within school settings in Turkey. Thirteen theses retrieved from the Higher Education Council Thesis Center through searches using the keywords “liderlik kapasitesi” and “leadership capacity” were analyzed using document review and content analysis techniques. The findings revealed that 84.6 % of the studies were at the master’s level and 15.4 % at the doctoral level, with publication output fluctuating between 2013 and 2024. In terms of research design, 76.9 % employed quantitative approaches, 15.4 % employed mixed methods, and 7.7 % employed qualitative methods; sample sizes ranged from 204 to 641 participants. The data indicated that theoretical contributions at the doctoral level and studies using qualitative or mixed methods remain limited in the field of leadership capacity, and that methodological diversity and standardization in sample planning are needed. Accordingly, it is recommended that more doctoral‐level research be undertaken and that qualitative and mixed‐design studies be encouraged to deepen inquiry in this area.
