Summary/Abstract: This publication explores the current and future potential of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to assist forensic experts and investigators in performing their specific tasks within the process of crime detection and investigation. To this end, the paper presents specific results from various types of AI "testing" across different fields of forensic science.
