Summary/Abstract: The purpose of the article is to show Katarzyna Żychlińska's efforts to ensure the proper education and safety of her son. The basis for these considerations are Żychlińska's letters, in which she turned to Daniel Ernest Jabłoński for advice, help and support in this regard. These letters are preserved in the State Archives in Poznań in the Czech Brothers' Files group. Katarzyna, née Bobrownicka, married three times. From her second marriage to Piotr Żychliński, she had a son Stanisław born in 1696. When he grew older, she sent him to Berlin for education, under the care of Jabłoński, a prominent figure of the time, a royal court preacher and theologian. He would receive the children of the dissidents of Greater Poland into his home and oversee their education and safety. Against his mother's wishes, the young Żychliński left the Jabłoński home, but remained in Berlin and probably continued his education. The caring mother again asked Jabłoński to look after her son, who, in her absence, borrowed and spent money. He continued to repay these debts after his return to his homeland.
