Summary/Abstract: Private, female correspondence often shows the multicoloured world of emotions between the sender and the recipient (especially between spouses, parents and children). It provides the potential to write the story of private, everyday or family life. In this context, what seems particularly interesting is the image of the mother-daughter relationship and the extent to which the private and intimate sphere of two women, who played specific roles in an old Polish family, had the opportunity to appear on the pages of correspondence. The aim of this article will therefore be an attempt to show the mother-daughter relationship using the example of information contained in the letters (collected in the Central Archives of Historical Records in Warsaw) written by Teofila née Leszczyńska primo voto Konarzewska secundo voto Wiśniowiecka sent to her daughter Franciszka Urszula Radziwiłł and her husband Michał Kazimierz Radziwiłł, also known as "Rybeńko" in the first years of their marriage.
