Summary/Abstract: In the article entitled “Letters of Anna Radziwiłłowa (born Mycielska) and the diary of Charles de Saint-Pol as sources for examining the Vilnius socialite’s “diplomatic” activity the authors discuss the “diplomatic” correspondence between Anna Radziwiłłowa (born Mycielska) and baron Charles de Saint-Pol as reflected in his diary, at present deposited in the Central Archives of Historical Records in Warsaw in the Department of Family Documents (XI) of the Warsaw Radziwiłł Archive. The documents have been used to show the political involvement on the part of Karol Stanisław’s (called “Panie Kochanku”) stepmother in 1764. He was the only son of Michał Kazimierz “Rybeńko” Radziwiłł, born from his marriage to Franciszka Urszula Radziwiłłowa (born Wiśniowiecka). The authors have made an attempt at connecting the said contacts with Anna’s correspondence circle and have showed Anna Radziwiłłowa’s attitude in the said case. Of special interest is a part of the discovered diary which the authors decided to include into this paper in the form of an edition.
