Summary/Abstract: Loss of a chance is a legal concept with multiple implications, offering a solution for repairing damages that are otherwise difficult to prove in civil law. Fulfilling the conditions for recognizing and compensating for the damage caused by the loss of a chance contributes to adapting the civil liability system to contemporary realities and to effectively protecting the rights of victims.
