Summary/Abstract: Inheritance consists in the transmission of the patrimony of a deceased natural person to one or more living persons (natural persons, legal persons, administrative-territorial units - commune, city, municipality, as the case may be - or the state). Inheritance and succession are synonymous terms, often encountered and used both in everyday life and in specialized literature, and the procedure of inheritance or succession debate, as it is also called, can be done before the notary public or the court judicial. Inheritance can be of two types: legal inheritance (when the transmission of the patrimony operates under the conditions and in the order established by law) and testamentary inheritance (when the deceased left a will during his lifetime).
