Summary/Abstract: Hermeneutics of competence as the horizon of theological supremacy. The Christian faith constitutes the foundation and germinative force of Christian culture, since it is the expression of an enlightened rationality, directed towards the divine reason in which all things have their reason for being, pre-existing as Logoi in the eternal Logos. This divine reason is accessible to man only to the extent of his inner openness and enlightenment through the Holy Spirit, Who, being present in creation from the beginning (Genesis 1:2), discovers meanings and purposes in reality, articulating the intelligible with the sacred, in the light of Revelation. Thus is founded a “culture of the Spirit”, as Father Rafail Noica states, a culture of the Word of God, in which the gifts of the Spirit (Isaiah 11:1; Galatians 5:22-23) bear fruit in Truth, Beauty and Good, reflecting through the life of the Christian community the divine character of the Revelation lived.
