The Situation of Roma People in Montenegro from the Perspective of Social Security

Summary/Abstract: The Roma minority is of considerable interest to researchers in Poland. Many publications have treated the Roma, but occasionally, studies are published that propose to look at the Roma minority in the context of security. This text is tempted to analyse the situation of the Roma from just such a perspective. The study aims to present the situation of Roma people in Montenegro in the context of social security. The outlined objective corresponds to the structure of the article, which in the first part introduces the concept of social security to present further the general characteristics of the Roma population in Montenegro. The subsequent parts are devoted to selected problems faced by the representatives of the described community and the actions taken to solve these problems. The layout of the text will facilitate the verification of the main research hypothesis and the answer to the research questions.
