Summary/Abstract: How the Pentecostal Church has influenced peace in Roma communities. Roma communities in Romania have long faced problems such as poverty, discrimination, lack of education, and unemployment. In many cases, these difficulties have led to conflicts within the community or between communities and authorities. However, in some places, significant positive changes have been observed, especially where religion has played an important role. A clear example is the influence of the Pentecostal Church on the Roma. In this article, we will start with some concrete examples from the field, observing how the message of the Gospel, transmitted through local religious leaders, has influenced people’s lifestyles. Thus, we will try to show that religion can play an important role in improving relations between people and in building a more peaceful environment, even in communities where the state or other organizations have failed to bring about real change.
