Summary/Abstract: Interreligious Dialog from the Perspective of the History of Religions in the Thought of Father Professor Emilian Vasilescu. Brief Theological Considerations and Evaluations. Recently, in Bucharest, the International Conference “Freedom of Conscience: Foundation for Human Rights, Education and Sustainable Peace”, which was attended by distinguished professors and researchers from home and abroad. Starting from the main ideas expressed as structural themes within the Symposium, it was possible to draw out the imperative represented by the localization of the possible/desirable foundations of the activities of mutual relations in the form of irenic dialogical dialogue, which can generate the defusing/attenuation of religious conflicts, starting from a better inter-ethnic and inter-confessional (con)living and a more sustained social-philanthropic action of religious inspiration. Precisely, these springs of action, will be the object of our study, the recourse to the theoretical referential, represented by Father Professor Emilian Vasilescu, being an immediate one, given his remarkable contribution to the scientific approach of the interreligious irenic dialog. We will start, therefore, from a series of observations of the eminent professor on: (a) the necessity of interreligious dialogue, (b) the possible framework and formulas for its institutionalization, (c) the potential themes and topics for discussion, and (d) the risks to its sustainability and content, aware that our - analytical and exploratory - approach finds in the thinking of Father Emilian Vasilescu a valuable basis, a starting point for the way in which contemporary Romanian theology will have to look at and interpret the current course towards ecumenism and interreligious ecumenical dialog.
