Summary/Abstract: Conceptual Meanings of the Phrases Human Rights and Peacebuilding. The terms “human rights” and “peacebuilding,” understood as references to specialized areas of expertise and strategy defined in specific ways, reflected in terms such as “the field of human rights” or “the field of peacebuilding,” refer to semi-autonomous areas of socially, anthropologically, and legally structured activity that are often defined disciplinarily and professionally, generating identities that embody certain beliefs, attitudes, values, and routines. These generate concepts and categories that are easily accessible to the uninitiated, constructing a specific reading of the world only for those who are knowledgeable. The approach to the relationship between human rights and peacebuilding in this study is what we set out to highlight succinctly.
