ECONOMIC ASPECTS OF NĂSĂUD BETWEEN 1924 AND 1925

Summary/Abstract: In the years 1924–1925, Năsăud presented the image of a mainly agrarian settlement, with small-scale artisanal activity which did not extend beyond the basic exploitation of raw materials. The markets of Năsăud facilitated the exchanges of modest quantities of animal products from the inhabitants of the Someş River Valley for cereals brought from the lowland villages. The banks, in turn, had limited importance, serving the local needs and interests.
