Summary/Abstract: Children live in a new digital world. The legal mechanisms ensuring their safety face a major challenge. The best interests of the child are fundamental principle under international law which is adopted in national laws. The internet is a source of useful information, but it also hides dangers. It is necessary to develop legal options for protecting children’s rights in online environment.
