„Intruder” in public space – the social presence of the mobile phone

Summary/Abstract: The article is an analyze the use of a mobile phones in public space. It presents an outline of the history of the development of mobile telephony and an attempt to understand the issue of public space. The results of research on the use of mobile phones in common places, indicating legal regulations regarding the use of devices in public transport and the possibilities of using electronic devices at school. The phenomenon of phubbing and FOMO was also reported. The article contains proposals for new legal regulations based on the results of the referendum (regarding the ban on the use of mobilephones) in the town of Seine-Port.
